Cale Gundy is a former American football player and coach known for his long association with the University of Oklahoma. He was born on April 10, 1972, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Gundy played college football at the University of Oklahoma as a quarterback from 1990 to 1993. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching.

Gundy returned to Oklahoma in 1999 as part of Bob Stoops' inaugural coaching staff, initially serving as the running backs coach. Over the years, he held various positions on the Sooners' coaching staff, including serving as the team's recruiting coordinator and inside receivers coach.
